The United States Postal Service has various mail classes and services for different types of needs and requirements. People can pick or choose any service they find suitable for themselves. For making their job easier and let them track their shipment, USPS provides them a USPS tracking number. This tracking number is assigned at the time when the order is accepted. The tracking number is also known as Article Number, and it comes with almost all the mail classes, and if it doesn’t, then you can add it by asking the Postal Service.

Now, if we talk about the location, then you can easily find it because it contains various numeric numbers. But, there are still many people who are unable to find it to track their shipment. You can find your tracking/article number on the following places:

  • In the shipping confirmation email, you received from an online retailer
  • On the bottom of the peel-off portion of tracking label
